North American Division youth director James Black has declared a "state of emergency" due to the large number of youth and young adults who have left the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mission Lifeguard is an initiative to go rescue those who are missing from our churches.
This involves: 1. The North American Division to provide resources via the internet 2. Conference and Union youth directors to connect local church volunteers with area coordinators 3. Volunteers in churches who will become "SPOTTERS" or "LIFEGUARDS"
What is a SPOTTER? What is a LIFEGUARD?
A SPOTTER is someone who is on the lookout for those who are missing. The SPOTTER then alerts the LIFEGUARD.
A LIFEGUARD is the one who connects with the missing person. The LIFEGUARD also updates the Church so the Church can pray and prepare to praise God both when a missing person is found and again when a missing person returns.
If you'd like to become a SPOTTER or a LIFEGUARD, go to www.missionlifeguard.com and sign up. This will activate the North American Division to begin to send you resources to the email address you provide. It will also notify your union and conference youth directors that you are going into action to save lives.
It's about SAVING LIVES!!!
Jesus said, "I came that they might have life."
